The Beatles Were Shit

About the Deezer Geezers

I use a music streaming service called Deezer. I guess that’s cause I’m a bit of a Geezer. (I don’t know… I always just wanted to say that!)

Most people like Spotify, but Spotify irritated me once and wasn’t available here for a long time. Furthermore, nothing makes me rile more than following the crowd. You can mass read your Harry Potters and obsess over “the virus” by yourselves. I shall go a different way, thank you. So putting Spotify on my phone feels like a deep violation of something…

Anyway the point being that I’ve been introducing my kids to a lot of 50’s and 60’s music and of course The Beatles. Let’s face it, they aren’t going to hear good music on the radio and unless you want a musical retard, I wouldn’t leave it to chance (or school or their friends).

This morning I thought it would be nice to listen to some music while reading Bruce Lipton’s, Biology of Belief.

which so far, is actually more entertaining and educational than I thought.

What, however did happen is a stream of totally shite music (and I mean that word in a strictly academic sense). At first I didn’t realize it was happening, I was engrossed in a book, but then the irritation set in and I had a brief look at the last few geezers on the play list:

  1. I’m the greatest - Ringo Star

  2. When We Was Fab - George Harrison

  3. London Town - Paul McCartney

  4. Mr. Bad Guy - Freddie Mercury

I pray to the All Mighty Christ and do not wish to use his name in vain, and to be fair again, Freddy really inflamed me here with music so bad, that I rather be sitting in a dishwasher…

But weren’t “The Beatles” meant to be good? I know, know, each Beatle didn’t isn’t “The Beatles” and we have “My Sweet Lord”, “Ebony and Ivory” etc… but weren’t these guys supposed to be good?

I swear I write music better than that!

Listening to them crone gave me a renewed sense of confidence. If those guys could be so bad, then surely I need not to worry about my own performance. Let’s thank Deezer for the the insight.

The Beatles were crap… that’s probably a good thing.

and that’s,
