Vikid Truth and The Holy Grail

Come, have a drink from the Chalice

· 3 min read · Originally on Substack

The Truth is an elusive concept. There had been many times in Vikid’s life when he thought he had found it — such is the confidence of young men. Like Indiana, he went on many adventures, only to find that the Holy Grail he sought served him sand, not everlasting life.

There are primarily three ways men have sought the Truth:

And Vikid had been down each path and found them wanting.

If you want the Truth immediately, and wish to skip the rest of the journey presented here…

Here it is:

All paths converge into one.

One realizes they are the same path, which ultimately ends with the realization that there is no path.

So there are no heroes, no gurus, no texts, no deities that are going to get you anywhere quicker than the path you are already on.

A very hard pill to swallow for some; heresy for others.

All Vikid had to say — the only sermon he had left — was, “Do you.”

There is no Salvation or Enlightenment, though at many points in your life you will believe otherwise and be quite convinced.

It’s the nature of the beast.

At many times you will feel you are at the bottom of an infinite pit. This is an illusion.

At other times you will feel you are high above Everest and have figured it all out. This is another illusion.

Then you will understand you are under an illusion and wish to get rid of it. This is also an illusion.

The Truth is elusive because it is an illusion.

Then you will surrender, pray to some God, some saviour; the burden will be removed — you’ve outsourced your anxiety to some deity.

And if you’ve been paying any attention up to now, you’ve guessed it: it’s an illusion.

Or you will go to some guru with a long beard, dressed in a white robe. Illusion.

You may drink various elixirs and have many visions. Illusion.

Then you will give up, find love. Illusion.

Or you will pour love onto your children. Illusion.

Or spend time and effort doing good deeds, becoming a philanthropist.

You got it… illusion.

Or you’ll go vegan.

Or you’ll go far left, far right, become a centrist. Ha ha ha! Illusion.

You’ll try and find it with investments, a nice yacht, fine wine, hot ladies, raves, pills. Illusion.

Or you will read the physicists, learn the equations, wait for the final theory that explains it all. One more study. One more paper. Illusion.

You will try a mountain of books.

You will find yet more illusion.

You will find only illusion.

And when there is nothing left to try —

You sip from The Chalice, The Holy Grail, and become its Creator.

Come and have a Drink…

And that’s,

The Vikid Truth
